People are always asking me, “what did you learn today?” Well, not really. Nobody’s asked me that in living memory. But nonetheless I’m sure you’re all wanting to know what I learned at the National No-Till Conference in Cincinnati last week. One of the presenters showed this, and it was one of the coolest things I’ve ever seen:
It’s a fungus that forms a ring and when a nematode, which is a microscopic worm only 1000th’s of an inch long, swims into that ring the fungus closes the ring and devours the nematode.
Nature is red in tooth and claw at every level!
