We had to say goodbye to Pete today. He’d stopped eating a week ago and failed rapidly. Yet he didn’t seem in distress. He spent most of the day yesterday lying in the grass on the barn bank, surveying his domain and making sure all was well.
All in all, not a bad way to go.
He was a good dog and a faithful companion. And he loved to ride in that Ranger.
