Still in Saigon, segue

I was dining at one of my favorite restaurants, A Taste of India, mentioned here: https://chuckzumbrun.net/?page_id=6 and I noticed a basket of fake flowers. What caught my eye was the tag on the basket that said, “Made in Vietnam.” Just over 30 years ago we considered the North Vietnamese enough of a threat to lead the slaughter of over 1.5 million people to keep them out of South Vietnam.

Now we buy baskets from them…
