I Read the News Today, Oh Boy.

Transocean Ltd, the company that owned the Deepwater Horizon oil rig that exploded and sank, killing 11 people and spilling 100’s of millions of barrels of oil into the Gulf of Mexico, because they cut corners to save time and money, paid their executives 6 figure bonuses this year, citing the company’s “exemplary” safety record.

I cannot understand the bottomless and cavernous greed and hubris that would have led to proposing or accepting those bonuses.
