{"id":87,"date":"2009-12-06T19:38:45","date_gmt":"2009-12-07T00:38:45","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/chuckzumbrun.net\/?p=87"},"modified":"2009-12-06T19:39:41","modified_gmt":"2009-12-07T00:39:41","slug":"mead-day","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/chuckzumbrun.net\/?p=87","title":{"rendered":"Mead Day"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I bottled my <a href=\"http:\/\/chuckzumbrun.net\/?p=70\">mead<\/a> today.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/chuckzumbrun.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/12\/picture-026.jpg\" alt=\"Mead bottles\" \/><\/p>\n<p>If you can read the labels you can see it&#8217;s an orange and spice mead.\u00a0 It&#8217;s a bit spicy for my taste, I&#8217;d use a little less spice (cinnamon and cloves) next time.\u00a0 But it&#8217;ll make a nice spiced wine for the holidays.\u00a0\u00a0 It made 4 bottles, one is in the refrigerator to see how it tastes chilled.<\/p>\n<p>It also packs a wallop.\u00a0 I didn&#8217;t check the Brix before I fermented it, but from the taste I&#8217;d suspect I&#8217;m at 15%+ alcohol.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I bottled my mead today.
