Inspired by that I cooked baked beans over a wood fire tonight.<\/p>\n<p>I built a fire in the firepit and let it burn down. It was a lot of fussing to build the fire and watch the beans as they cooked.  It would&#8217;ve been much simpler to just toss them in the oven.
