Winter Oddities

This has been the year for unusual winter formations.

Crooked Icicles	The crooked icicles, when the wind blew first from the north and then from the south.
Horizontal Icicles	Then the horizontal icicles. Sitting as we do, proud atop Skunk Hill, we get some good winds from the west.
Long Icicle	It’s hard to tell from this picture but this icicle is over 5 feet long, and is hanging over the door so we had to duck around it.
Snow Slabs	Snow slid off the roof in firm slabs and made what looks like an abandoned cemetery off the porch.
More Snow Slabs	I’m tempted to go out and incise names on them.

After being minus 12 on Thursday, it’s 57 degrees warmer today on Sunday. Spring’s a-coming!
