Warm and Dry

45 degrees today, 20 mph wind blasting rain out of the east.

Warm and Dry

Man, it’s nice to have a warm and dry place to work on days like this, with a nice smooth floor. For years and years we did all of this kind of work at best under a lean-to on a gravel floor, or at worst on the stones in the driveway.

We added on to our shop a few years ago and I still marvel at the comfortable digs every day.

We were finishing up putting the saddle tanks on the corn planting tractor today[1]. Someday it will get warm and dry enough to plant corn. But until then we can hang out in the shop!

1. That’s Tom’s foot sticking out beyond the left dual tire. He was rolling around on the floor getting the last !@#$%^ bracket to fit on the saddle tanks. I was helping by preserving the moment in pictures.

You are really good at preserving moments of others working. Impressive.

the wheels look very crooked in the photo, are they just loose for some work or will they run straight?

It must just be the perspective from the camera angle. They’re straight and true and bolted down.
