Tales from Skunk Hill

Environmental Responsibilty

Here at Skunk Hill we are especially conscious of our impact on the environment. Particularly with regards to skunks, considering they are our namesake.

Yogurt containers, as I’m sure you are all aware, are like traps for skunks. Skunks get their heads caught in the reverse tapered containers and can’t get free. This has been widely reported in the media.

A National Tragedy

Read the rest of the story behind this tragic picture here.

Despite our awareness and caution, despite being careful to only buy animal friendly yogurt containers and to dispose of them properly, we had a similar episode here today[1].

Caught

No matter how careful you are with your yogurt containers, accidents can happen. Be careful out of there.

I’m sure that Spenser the Wonder Dog was only testing your emergency responsiveness. He could have gotten his head out at any time he wanted.

His head wasn’t actually stuck. He just had to have it all the way in there to keep Owen from getting any yogurt.

I wondered, since Owen didn’t seem concerned so much as waiting his turn. 🙂
